Small Business & Nonprofit Marketing

Small business owners and nonprofits deserve beautiful, functional websites and powerful, strategic digital marketing campaigns that don’t bust budgets. When you’re ready to partner up for one or more of the services we offer, let us know! While each service will come with a custom quote, we’ve included cost estimates so you know what to expect.

Web Design & Development

Your customers are looking for a professional, welcoming, easy-to-use website. Give them a site that’s all of those things while reflecting your brand accurately. A solid social media presence is great for locally owned businesses but a website that gives folks information about you outside of your posts is so important. Own your content and your story with a beautiful and responsive site.

What This Looks Like

Our websites combine design with function, so you know your new site will look good while working for you. We use the popular open-source content management system (CMS), WordPress. It’s easily customizable, super-flexible, and widely supported. Keep in mind that any website will require regular maintenance to stay functional and keep your users happy.

General Cost Estimate

A new website with us starts at $2,000. P.S. Our quotes always include content strategy/web content writing.

Content & SEO

The content on your website is important. It tells your customers all about you and, when created thoughtfully, it can help people find you organically, thanks to search engine optimization (SEO). Basically, SEO is about strategically using keywords, keyword phrases, and content blocks to help potential customers find you in search engine queries. It requires a deep understanding of your audience and user intent because once they get to your site, the user experience (UX) has to be seamless.

We start with an analysis of your current site, if applicable. When we know your goals and customers, we can get started. This process goes right along with a new website design but we can also create fresh content for existing sites.

General Cost Estimate

SEO strategy and updates begin at $60/hour. Web content strategy and writing go hand-in-hand with web design, so while it will be included in a quote for a full site build, we offer this separately at $60/hour. Blog writing and content refreshes begin at $300/month.

Digital Marketing & Social Media Strategy

Encourage customer loyalty by taking full advantage of your digital presence and letting them know who you are on a more personal level. We can help create the right multi-channel approach for your business to give your customers even more opportunities to find and interact with you.

We begin each relationship with digital marketing clients by doing an audit of your current (if applicable) strategy, a competitor analysis, and a site performance check. This helps give us a good idea of where you’ve been, what’s worked, what isn’t, what you’re up against in the market, and more. Once the campaign is up and running, you can expect detailed content calendars to approve so that content is built well in advance.

General Cost Estimate

The starting point for digital marketing services is $300/month.

Website Maintenance Plans

When your website launches, it’s a big step and something to celebrate! However, it’s not the last step if you want it to actually work well for your business. Like anything worth having, it’s going to take some work. Websites require regular maintenance to keep them running smoothly. Protect your investment with routine updates and monitoring that can help save you the headaches and heartache of major problems down the line.

Typically, our maintenance plans include downloading a backup version of your website so we can recover a previous version and prevent loss of data in the rare case of a catastrophic event. We also ensure that plugins and themes are up-to-date, monitoring the site for hacking attempts, etc.

General Cost Estimate

Our pay-as-you-go option is $60/hour, so your cost will depend on the issue presented. This can take a bit longer to work you onto the schedule but can be a good choice for smaller budgets. Retainer plans start at $120/month and commit us to a set of updates monthly.

Website Audits

It’s normal to get so used to your own website that you don’t recognize technical shortcomings or potential pain points for users. An in-depth website audit can help identify issues that might be holding you back in rankings, contributing to a high bounce rate, or otherwise bugging your site visitors.

If your current website isn’t hitting your goals, we can help you get to the bottom of the issue(s) and suggest ways to rectify them. At the end of our detailed website audit, you’ll receive a report that explains elements of your site that are working well and areas that could be improved.

General Cost Estimate

Our website and content audits start at $350. The price may increase depending on how large your website is, the amount of data to be reviewed, and your overall needs.

Discovery Call

This free 15-minute chat will help us learn more about each other. Ahead of the call, you’ll be asked to complete a questionnaire about your goals, challenges, and more, that will help inform the conversation.

Strategy Meeting

If you’re interested in moving forward after the discovery call, the next step is a strategy meeting ($250), during which we’ll go over more content and design-specific questions, page planning, and more.

Proposal

Following the strategy meeting, we’ll send our proposal (likely with multiple options) for the project. If we agree on a plan and a contract is signed, the cost of your strategy meeting will go toward your first payment for the project.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is SEO?

Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of strategically using keywords naturally throughout the content of your website in an effort to increase the visibility of your site in search engine results pages (SERPs). This means researching your site users and the keywords they’re using to get to your site or similar websites, then introducing those keywords and phrases into your content.

What is a search engine results page (SERP)?

A search engine results page (SERP) is the page a search engine shows a user after they’ve entered a query. When we think about showing up on Google, we think about those pages.

What is a domain?

A domain is the main address to your website. For example, our domain is greenivycreative.com. Often, web hosting companies offer domains as well. We break down domains, subdomains, and more on our blog, “Understanding Web Development Lingo.”

What is web hosting?

Web hosting allows your website to live on the internet. When you sign up with a hosting service, you’re essentially renting space on a server where you can store the data related to your website. We talk about hosting and how it relates to web development in our blog, “Understanding Web Development Lingo.”

What is an SSL?

A Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) certificate encrypts data shared between a user and a website. If your website does not have an SSL, you run the risk of having data hacked and Google penalizes websites without SSLs. Typically, web hosting companies offer SSL packages, but their correct installation is imperative. Learn more about SSLs in our blog, “Does My Website Need an SSL?”

What is content strategy?

When we say we offer content strategy on top of web design and development, we mean that we plan and write the content that will live on your website. This includes taking into account your brand voice, services, industry, keywords, audience, competition, accessibility, user experience, and more.

Why do you use WordPress?

WordPress is an open-source content management system (CMS) that lets us build websites. While there are other platforms available to the typical person who doesn’t know the ins and outs of web design and development may use to build a simple site, we prefer WordPress because of its more advanced options when it comes to customization, features, and plugins.
