Human-Made Content & SEO
I don’t use generative AI to write, create strategy, design, etc. There are a ton of (I believe) obvious reasons for this, but a big personal one is that I actually enjoy what I do! I love researching a new client’s industry, then painting a picture with words that hopefully resonate with the right people. When I talk about content and SEO, though, I know that not everyone is picking up what I’m putting down, so read on for a more real-world explanation.

What is Web Content?
The term “web content” refers to the actual written words and any media (images, videos, PDFs) on a website. And, oof, content is so dang important. Coupled with SEO and site navigation that makes sense, it can mean the difference between someone becoming a customer or never knowing you exist.
The SEO of it All
Search engine optimization (SEO) is the process of strategically using keywords to help your potential audience (customers, supporters, fans) find you in search engine results. The one constant about SEO is that it’s always changing. This means that it makes sense to work with someone who’s always learning and changing along with it. So…hi.
Navigation is Important
Website navigation is all about how a user interacts with your site. It includes the overall layout, which sections live where, items in the menu, and how pages are connected to each other through links. It should be organized and intuitive so your visitors don’t get lost, frustrated, and leave without finding what they wanted.
