Website Design & Development
Specializing in WordPress & ShopifyBuilding Your Dream Website
Your customers, supporters, and fans deserve a spot to find information about you, and it should be current, accurate, and unique to you. If you own a small or medium-sized business, are an artist, or run a nonprofit in need of a new or refreshed website designed by an actual human, you’ve come to the right place.
Website Options
WordPress
Best for Content Marketing
WordPress is great for businesses that offer services, artists showcasing or booking work, and nonprofits telling their story. This popular open-source content management system (CMS) is a customizable, flexible, and widely supported publishing tool that makes it easy to grow your website along with your business.
Shopify
Best for E-Commerce
Shopify is nifty for small to medium-sized businesses, artists, and nonprofits selling products and merch. It’s an e-commerce platform making it easier for folks to manage inventory, sales, and more. If you’ve done any online shopping in the past few years, chances are that you’ve interacted with Shopify before.
Aesthetics Meet Function
It’s not enough for a website to simply be pretty. It has to work properly. I design every website with you and your customers/supporters in mind.
Content & SEO
The content (written words and media) on a website is intensely important. It helps set the tone by showing off your personality through the written word and can help people find you organically in search engine queries. It requires a deep understanding of your audience and user intent because once folks make it to your website, they’ll want to be able to find what they’re looking for easily. Each website I design and develop includes content and SEO strategy written by me, a human, and not generated by a robot.
Website Audits
If you already have a website, but aren’t sure why it’s not performing as you’d hoped or wonder if it’s time for a new website, a website audit can help. An in-depth audit can help identify what might be holding you back in rankings, contributing to a high bounce rate, or otherwise keeping your website from functioning at its best.
Website Management
Anything worth having requires maintenance and your website is no exception. My website management plans are customized to your needs, and can include keeping content fresh and handling on-site SEO, maintaining software updates, and troubleshooting when necessary.
Next Steps
If you’re interested in working together on a new website, I have a three-step initial sales process.
Step 1: The Questionnaire
The creative process involved in web design works best when everyone involved is comfortable. That’s why I send a questionnaire that’s designed to answer questions about your business, branding, and marketing goals at the top of the process. Once it’s completed, if we decide to move forward, the next step is a chat.
Step 2: Discovery Call
This free 15-minute chat helps us learn more about each other. Like any potential relationship, the ones I have with clients start with open communication and honest feedback. I love looking forward to my work and want you to see email updates/questions from me and get excited! These calls are key to setting expectations and seeing if we’d like working together.
Step 3: Strategy Meeting
If we’re both down to move forward after the discovery call, the next step is a strategy meeting. It’s typically an hour long and costs $250. It’s an in-depth conversation about content, page planning, design-specific questions, and more. After this meeting, I’ll send a proposal for the project that often includes more than one option.
